Sunday Morning Cartoons: Over the Garden Wall
FamilyGet your Spooky Season started right and join us for a special Sunday Morning of Autumnal Cartoon perfection as we screen the entirety of OVER THE GARDEN WALL not once but TWICE back-to-back! We are partnering with our friends at superofficial (our neighboring coffee shop) to bring this special show back for a second year, and as always they will be making breakfast treats, coffee, lattes, matcha lattes and anything else you might want right inside the Capitol Theatre for the entire duration of the show! We’re also featuring a variety of vendors that you can check out throughout the show. Doors will open at 9:00am with the show beginning at 10:00am. The show runs just over 2 hours from start to finish (with a 10 minute intermission between episodes 5 and 6). We will be running the entire show through twice with the second showing beginning at 1:00pm and running until approximately 3:15pm including an intermission. Your ticket will allow you admission into the theater for the day, so, whether you want to watch the program all the way through twice, take some time to check out all the vendors upstairs, leave after the first screening, or join us just for the second screening–or any variation you can think of–your ticket will let you do exactly that! The Rocky Horror Picture Show
CommunityJoin us *one night only* at The Historic Capitol Theatre for our annual interactive presentation of the all-singing, all-dancing classic, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. It will cap off an evening full of fun as The Arts District hosts our Annual Haunted Hallway Vendor Fair! Come down to the block party at 3:00pm, see all the vendors and entertainment, then get your makeup and hair done ahead of time so you can join us when the doors for RHPS open at 7:00 pm with the show beginning at 8:00pm with our customary costume parade! Since Rocky Horror is beloved for its rich history of audience participation, our screenings feature theater-appropriate “prop kits” available for purchase for $12.00. Our kits include interactive props for every major, Transylvanian-approved call-out. To encourage the safety and enjoyment of the film by all in attendance, any bags brought into the auditorium will be subjected to a search for prohibited items. For the uninitiated: In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist of sorts. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Cat Video Fest 2026
CommunityCat Video Fest returns to the Capitol Theatre! Cat Video Fest, presented by Oscilloscope Laboratories, is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. Each year, across the country, they partner with a cat-focused charity near the theater, with proceeds from each show helping folks like us to keep looking out for our furry friends. This year’s local partner is Purrs and Whiskers. In addition to the Cat Video Fest film, local cat owners can submit their photos and/or videos of their own cats and watch them before the main feature on the Capitol Theatre screen. Landscape videos are preferred and videos should be under a minute in length, and don’t forget to include their name so they can be seen on screen!
