Halloween Trail
FamilyThe Annual Halloween Trail will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, with a few new (community-requested) tweaks! For Stations: Station registration is now open! Join us as a group/organization/business or as a volunteer individual for another year of creating Halloween magic together as a community! Please read the form for details and register HERE. For Guests: - This trail is geared towards elementary school-aged children, Pre-K - 5th grade. Younger guests are welcome, and 6th & 7th graders can participate as kids in costumes or register as a volunteer and help out. - Coming Soon Register for a time to walk the trail. If you are not registered, you can wait for an open time at either 7:20 pm or 7:40 pm. Please note, there is a maximum of 25 people per time-slot, and children must be accompanied by a caregiver. - Costumes are encouraged and part of the fun! Just keep them in the E for Everyone range: no gore, blood, weapons, or nightmare-inducing items. - The trail will wind a path through the inside of the library and (weather permitting) exit through the gardens. - New this year! The Boy Scouts will host their Scary Trail along Owen's Nature Trail. This is a great option for those who do enjoy a good scare! Walk this trail in addition to the community trail inside the library, or choose which option best works for you.
BYOB Book Club
CommunityPlease join us for BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club on the fourth Thursday of the month to discuss the book you are currently reading or any book you have recently read and enjoyed. This is an informal gathering to meet other book lovers to both give and get suggestions of books to read. Feel free to stay the whole time or just drop by. *Please note that we will meet on the THIRD Thursday in November and will NOT meet in December. *

Slavery and Emancipation
CommunityAt the time, church leaders grappled with how scripture guided Christians on slavery, whether there was a moral imperative to act, or whether the issue was outside the church's purview all together. Presented by Steve Smits, a retired director of Central New York Developmental Disabilities Services Offices and president of the Town of Western Historical Society and sponsored by the Clinton Area Ministerium.

The Haunted Library After Dark
