Fright Night at Franklyn’s Field
CommunityCome down to Franklyn’s Field on Wednesday, October 28 for a spooktacular time at Fright Night! Local businesses and organizations will hand out candy at the Trick or Treat Street, and Jervis Public Library will be giving away books to each Trick or Treater. Weather permitting, there will be an outdoor movie screening of Hotel Transylvania. The movie will begin at 7:15 PM. Those attending the movie are asked to bring their own chairs and blankets. Chimo’s, DelFuego, FoodZone, Groovy Goodies and Oldies & Goodies will be on site for food and beverage purchases. Admission to the movie and Trick or Treat Street is free.

Cat Video Fest 2026
CommunityCat Video Fest returns to the Capitol Theatre! Cat Video Fest, presented by Oscilloscope Laboratories, is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. Each year, across the country, they partner with a cat-focused charity near the theater, with proceeds from each show helping folks like us to keep looking out for our furry friends. This year’s local partner is Purrs and Whiskers. In addition to the Cat Video Fest film, local cat owners can submit their photos and/or videos of their own cats and watch them before the main feature on the Capitol Theatre screen. To submit, email photos or videos of your furry friends to aj@romecapitol.com . Landscape videos are preferred and videos should be under a minute in length, and don’t forget to include their name so they can be seen on screen!
