Teen Volunteer Hours
FamilyThis event is for teens who need volunteer hours for honor society or other organizations, or teens who want to try volunteering without making a long-term commitment. Past volunteer activities include: assembling craft kits, dusting shelves, making book displays, painting boxes, organizing and labeling books, and more. Unplug & Play Tabletop Games
FamilyTwo nights a month and once on a Saturday, the library encourages patrons ages eight and up to turn off their TVs, smartphones, computers, and video games and join others at the library to play board games and card games. We call this Unplug & Play, and we hold it regularly on the FIRST THURSDAY, the SECOND SATURDAY, and the THIRD TUESDAY of each month. The library has a large collection of games to choose from, and participants are also encouraged to bring games of their own they might like to play or share. We also feature a collection of 100+ games for all ages that may be checked out and taken home or played in the library. Stitch by Stitch Artist Reception
CommunityAmy was originally scheduled to exhibit her work at the library in 2025, but health challenges prevented her from doing so. After her passing in April 2026, her sister, Cindy, wanted the community where Amy grew up to have the opportunity to see and appreciate her work. This special exhibit brings Amy’s quilts home to the community. Please join us for a reception celebrating Amy’s talent and work on Thursday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m.
